First off I would like to write, I am a big Star Wars fanboy. I remember when I first saw my first Star Wars movie and it was Episode I The Phantom Menace – I know, I know, not the best Episode of all of them but for an 8 year old kid to see what happened on the screen it was like being in a big fantasy where anything can happen. To see the last lightsaber fight between Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon and Darth Maul was like my first Star Wars nerdgasm and till this day I think that last fight is one of the best. That was when I first fell in love with Star Wars and later on saw the Original Trilogy on TV and loved it even more and the toys were just awesome – don’t know why I didn’t save the toys that I played with. As an adult I started to collect Star Wars collectibles and now my room is full of many action figures, books, games, DVD’s, posters, T-Shirts and more and more stuff. I haven’t bought no new toys lately from Star Wars- should remember to buy some later.

And second off – let’s start!!

For this movie it was like going to the biggest event of the year. I had my Star Wars T-shirt on, my Kylo Ren underwear on, my Darth Vader socks on, my lightsaber keychain on – I was ready to go. I’ve waited for this movie for such a long time. When The Walt Disney Company announced that they bought Lucasfilm in October 2012 for $4.06 billion and said that they are making a Star Wars sequel trilogy I was so eager to see what they will do with the sequels. With all the trailers that they put out before the movie I though that it will be the best of them all. And of course IT WAS!

As you can see I really love Star Wars and The Force Awakens for me was such a emotional rollercoaster. When the movie started I already were crying when I saw the opening crawl and the music, just aghhh – crying like a baby already – at that moment we found out the story of the movie – Luke Skywalker has disappeared and Princess Leia has sent her best, trust worthy pilot to get a map that can lead to her brother’s whereabouts. Starting off with the first scene where everything is happening on Jakku, you are introduced to the first new character Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and his fellow droid BB8 (the cutes, funniest droid ever) – they were sent by Princess Leia to receive the map. And we meet the main villain – Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) – when I first saw this character and heard the voice – the character gave me the creeps, such a strong villain and only few minutes in the movie you can see how strong he is. At first I thought that he does a good Vader impression but later on in the movie we find out the truth. When I first saw the movie I was just so much trying to guess who was under the mask and to who he was related (son, brother, cousin) from the original trilogy – Luke, Han/Leia. Too much theory’s I was reading before going to the premiere.

After that first strong introduction of the villain Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron, we are introduced to the mysterious character called Rey (Daisy Ridley). A scavenger that is making a living and waiting for somebody on Jakku. For me Daisy Ridley played Rey so good and later on the movie I cared about her character.

At the Star Destroyer we are introduced to the character FN-2187 (Number 2187 is a reference to the cell number where Princess Leia was held captive in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope). As we learn this character is conflicted with his position right now and wants to change – because of what happened on Jakku (the killing of innocent people). He helps Poe Dameron escape from the Star Destroyer and get back to Jakku for his droid. During that escape Poe gives FN-2187 the name – Finn (John Boyega).

Finn crash landing on Jakku. Thinking that Poe died, he travalled to Niima Outpost and there he met Rey. Finn lied and told them that he was from the Resistance. After that they were attacked by the First order (the new Stormtroopers look so good. Much better than in the original trilogy) and had to find a ship to escape.  At that moment I kind of thought that that ship would be the Millennium Falcon and IT WAS. Holy shit I just was so happy to see that ship and when they entered it, it was like going through memory lane. For such a long time the ship hasn’t been seen on the big screen – nostalgia.

Later on the movie when Rey and Finn are captured by unknown ship – we are introduced again to the great Han Solo and Chewbacca. OH MY GOD! I was just sitting in the theatre and trying not to cry at that moment – when I was young, Han Solo was so cool and till this day he is. I love that Harrison Ford returned to reprise his role because he kind of didn’t want to. This movie is full of Easter eggs that it is a delight to watch. When Han Solo starts to talk about the Force and he says that it is all true: “It’s true. All of it. The Dark side. The Jedi. They’re real,” – I started to cry so much – the character that didn’t believe in the Force now is fully a believer (he isn’t so sceptical any more). A strong scene.

The humour in this movie is on point – they really tried to make a movie that is funny with humour not with cheesy characters like Jar Jar Binks.

We are introduced to a new character in the Star Wars universe and it is Supreme Leader Snoke. The look of this character is so evil and as Kylo Ren speaks to him (and then we find out that Kylo Ren is actually Han and Leia’s son) you can tell that he is the person that controls everything. I love the secrecy of this character. Nobody knows who he is and where is he from. Just we know that he is played by an awesome actor/motion capture actor Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, King Kong, Avengers: Age of Ultron). For me Andy Serkis is one of the best actors that has lived. His motion capture work is just a delight. In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes playing Caesar, Andy Serkis was just phenomenal (how can a man play an ape so good?).

My favourite scene is when all the main characters arrive at Maz Kanata place – when Rey stumbles on a lightsaber, touches it and gets a vision about so many stuff that has happened in the past – we are given so much information and at first viewing it was hard to understand what is happening because you were happy just by sitting at the theatre. In the vision we see a hand (Luke Skywalkers) touching R2-D2, Kylo Ren killing younglings and Rey hearing voices from the past: “Rey…These are you first steps” (those were both actors who played Obi-Wan in the movies – Ewan McGregor’s and Alec Guinnesse’s) and many more scenes. This whole scene was like an atomic bomb of Easter eggs. I won’t go deeper in this scene. You have to see it for yourself. Still talking about Maz Kanata’s place – we finally see Princess Leia and C-3PO. When Han and Leia see each other for a long time it was just so emotional and how they talked about their son Ben (Kylo Ren). Just loved that scene. Before that moment Kylo Ren captured Rey and took her to the Star Destroyer.

When Kylo Ren is interrogating Rey we see that they might have some kind of connection between them (but nothing is revealed). We see that Rey is strong with the force because she can resist the Force when Kylo Ren interrogates her. At that moment you can feel how strong of a character is Rey. Mentioning that: “you won’t never be like Vader” – was such a hit to the balls for Kylo Ren. I just loved that.

Moving forward. Finn finds out that Poe is alive and when they meet you can see that a friendship has been established. At the Resistance base they talk about the Starkiller base: how to destroy it and so on. Really reminds me of A New Hope. This was the Death Star and now this is the Starkiller base. Just the same things but much bigger – little bit funny but I still loved it.

When all plans are established and Finn, Han, Chewbacca are entering the Starkiller base, they save Rey who already escaped from the clutches of her captor using the Force. I really love how they established the friendship between the new characters – it is so heart-warming to see. At least we know that in Episode VIII we will have something more than a friendship – maybe.

Will talk a little bit about the most SPOILER scene now – if you don’t want to find out don’t read. When Han confronts Kylo Ren (Ben) on the bridge in the Starkiller base is the MOST, MOST, MOST emotional scene ever created. As Han is approaching Ben to talk to him, Ben reveals that he is conflicted and he is forced in to moral choice, of Light Side or Dark Side and he asks his father to help him: “I know what I have to do, but I need your help,”. While handing his lightsaber to his father he turns it on and KILLS HAN SOLO!!!!………………………………..Holy shit. I didn’t see that coming. That was the hardest part to see in this movie. At the cinema I even yelled out: “NOOOO”. That piece of shit Kylo Ren, from that on moment I think everybody started to hate him. But that needed to happen so that Kylo Ren decides which side to take and he decided, it was the Dark Side. To see a character evolving you had to do that – without this there would be no point of this character – just a shallow thing and that’s all. But with that scene they made him evolve in something sinister. As a fan of Han Solo I really hope that the character will somehow appear in later Episode, maybe as a force ghost or something else. After that painful scene I couldn’t even talk when the movie ended – just was crying so much inside and all the three times I saw that scene in the theatre I cried so much. POOR ME.

As you can feel the main good characters are really pissed and want to kick somebody’s ass – especially Kylo Ren’s. Rey and Finn run in the wood and they meet Kylo Ren their standing with his lightsaber on. And then the fight begins. At the start Finn tries to fight Kylo but fails and then Rey uses her Force to pull the lightsaber from the snow that was used by Finn in the fight. At that moment you can see how Rey is surprised at that – how could that happen? And the last big fight commences. Holly shit biscuits…..the fight was so perfect – you won’t see fights like this in the prequels because in this movie nobody has used a lightsaber for a long period of time – except Kylo Ren. Fight continuous and for a moment Kylo is starting to win the fight but when Rey is reminded of the Force she pulls herself together and in an epic, beautiful lightsaber fight wins over Kylo Ren and disables him. At that moment they are split up between a hole that appears because the Starkiller base is being destroyed. With help from Poe Dameron the Starkiller base has been destroyed and everybody is returning to the Resistance base.

When BB8 connects the map together with R2-D2 map, Rey is given the map to Luke Skywalker and she leaves to find her new master (she is Force sensitive that’s why she needs to find him). When she arrives at the place where Luke is. She has to climb on a mountain and at the top she meets the great master Luke Skywalker and hands him the lightsaber that belonged to him. What can I say about the last scene? Just freaking awesome – to finally see Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on the screen of a Star Wars movie was just epic. When I saw that scene I was griping my chair so much, I hope I didn’t break nothing – aww so funny. I really wanted to see more from Luke Skywalker. I love that character so much; he is a hero an icon. We will see later in the next episodes what has happened to him and know how has he changed.

I loved in this movie the friendship between the new characters and how they started to care for each other right at the start and the plot was so engaging. It reminded me of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope………..Wait a moment!……droid…..secret information…..desert……three main characters……plans need to be taken to somebody……Darth Vader look alike…..naming just few things here……THIS TOTALY REMINDS ME OF STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE!!!! You might of think that this makes me angry but it doesn’t, everything that reminds of the first movie/all of the movies is just awesome because that what the audiences want. Not everybody thought that Episode I – III was good so they had to make this Episode so good with all the references and almost similar story to get new people in on Star Wars and old fans back to Star Wars. It’s a full on fan movie – made for the fan’s by the biggest fan of them all – J.J. Abrams. I can only say, thank you J.J.

As of February 22, 2016, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has grossed $922 million in North America and $1.119 billion in other territories for a worldwide total of $2.041 billion, against a budget of $200 million. The film received five Academy Award nominations and is the highest-grossing instalment of the franchise, as well as the third-highest grossing film of all time.

I know that I didn’t talk about many stuff that happened in The Force Awakens – just so much to talk about. SO, SORRY! To conclude everything: this is the best Star Wars movie you will ever see. Everything from the acting, music (John Williams is the best), to the practical effects and Easter eggs is phenomenal and I really recommend this movie to everybody, even if you are not a fan of Star Wars – after seeing this Episode you will be a big fan. Just go and see it.
